The last Lydford Summer Fair took place on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at the Lydford Sports Field. The organising committee were Pip and Steve Hulett, Paul Brookes, Diane Brook, Jonathan Gilpin, Mick Jones and Richard Hollingsworth. We would like to thank them for making this happen. We would also like to thank all the volunteers who helped in preparing the site for the Fair and for turning up on the day to help in lots of different ways.
The Summer Fair raised over £2700 and all proceeds went to the Lydford Sports Field Charity which looks after the sports field, the building and the children’s play park. The charity relies on events like this and does not receive any direct funding from any sources. The Summer Fair is by far the greatest contributor to supporting future year’s maintenance of the field, the building and play equipment.
The Summer Fair will not be taking place in 2026 but we hope to hold the event in 2027 around mid summer time. If you are interested in volunteering, or if you have any suggestions, please send an email to rrhollingsworth@btinternet.com or call on 07500 737724.
